Without spoiling the gags, it’s safe to say that Glenn isn’t all she appears to be, and the actress herself is clearly having a blast playing a smarmy New Age type (even if that’s a little old hat).

Still, this underrated comedy’s writers do more than rely solely on stunt casting. Glenn turns out to be a catalyst to some sweet relationship epiphanies for Jules, and a bromantic subplot involving Grayson’s concern for Jules’ wounded ex (Bryan Van Holt) is actually touching. Loopy laughs, wistful moments — Aniston is just the proverbial icing on the cake!
