Between the incredible Rock ‘n Roll T-shirt collection for kids and the goth gowns which could be mistaken as Dolce & Gabbana (with the proper lighting and great shoes), this is the emporium for well-priced, cool duds that doesn’t have you crying poor –they’re only $29! — when all you want to do is rock.

I have always been a fan of a brand called Tripp.

They have always done the best skin-tight, black denim jean from the Lower East Side that real NYC rockers love. And if you’re a person who always likes this look no matter if Rihanna is wearing them or not — you would always know that Hot Topic is the place to go year after year.

Madge Gone Wild

Posted by admin

Madonna fans got a sneak preview of her newest music video, “Girl Gone Wild,” earlier this month, but this morning, Madge fans got the full picture. And as expected, it includes the pop star writhing around (surrounded by a gaggle of nearly naked men) wearing hot pants, leotards, S&M gear, and a sexy pair of black stilettos (pictured). Style.com found out those shoes were custom-made for her by Paola Bay of Italian footwear label Zoraide.

“She wanted them as high as possible and to be able to dance with them on,” Bay tells Style.com of the heels, made of black silk embroidered with silver thread. “We did three fittings to make sure they were like second skin.” Call it a success—the Material Girl can not only dance in them, but do push-ups against the wall in them, too. Watch the Mert Alas and Marcus Marcus Piggott-lensed video, above.

Yea, Nay, Or Eh Golden Girl

Posted by admin

Drew Barrymore hit L.A. last night to promote Going the Distance, her new (guess!) rom-com co-starring her sometime paramour Justin Long, and she’s looking every bit the precious metal. Barrymore’s been experimenting with ombré tones in her hair lately, and she’s still working the dark-to-light locks, but as for her gown, it’s all golden. She accessorized her floor-length, strapless Malandrino with a gold Balmain belt, Samantha Wills jewels and YSL Tribtoos. We love her serpent bracelet (that’s it around her left arm), but we’re not sure about the dress itself—especially since it’s made the rounds a few times, as some sharp commentators have noticed, both on the designer herself (at the CFDA Awards) and on her friend and collaborator, Mary J. Blige. You tell us: yea, nay, or eh?

Get Audrina Patridge’s A-List Romper Look for Just $30!

Go Jane Strapless Floral Print Romper, $29.40

I like the color and the pockets on this Go Jane version. I also like how it works alone or with a lighweight cardigan or denim jacket. You can wear it jazzed up for evening with a high heel and some jewelry or during the day. It’s the perfect little uniform for hot summer days.

Buyer beware: not everyone can wear this shape. Make sure you get your proper size and that it doesn’t gather or stretch too tight across the back, the waist. I wish I had long legs, a flat belly and a smaller derriere but the reality is, I don’t. However, what I would opt for in this shape though would be a solid in gauze or cotton.

Call this silhouette the hottest thing since leggings. The floral romper is on fire. From Audrina Patridge to Jessica Simpson, all the girls in Hollywood are mad for these light and delicate florals splashed onto a cute summer weight romper.

Strapless floral print romper with four pockets and elastic stretch smocking at the neckline and waistline. Finished with a hidden zipper closure at the side. Length of Small romper: 24 inches, Inseam: 2.5 inches, Waist: 22 inches. 100% Rayon. Hand wash cold, hang dry. Imported. $29.40

On Our Radar Monique Péan Bracelets

Posted by admin

Photos: Courtesy of Monique Péan

Talk about an heirloom—Monique Péan’s bracelets are made of fossilized woolly mammoth tusks that are 25,000 years old. Scarce materials like mammoth tusk make them pricey, but they also keep the jewelry on the ethical up-and-up, something that Péan, a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund runner-up and Ecco Domani award winner, stresses in all her work. (She uses recycled gold and conflict- and- devastation-free diamonds in other pieces in her fine-jewelry line.) But aspirational or no, I love these chunky, etched bangles (and the idea, to be honest, of jewelry made from the fossilized remains of a critter that could have been a neighbor of Neanderthal man). I’m not the only one, either. Michelle Obama has been one of Péan’s biggest supporters; she recently wore these to greet President Obama on his 49th birthday earlier this week.
Monique Péan bracelets, $4,480 to $7,420, are available at Ikram, Jeffrey New York, and TwistOnline.com.

Cushnie Et Ochs Et Oh Land

Posted by admin

The Danish chanteuse Oh Land—a.k.a. Nanna Oland Fabricius—has attracted a fashionable following, wooing designers like M Missoni, which chose her as a face of the label, with her sunny electro-pop. For her upcoming tour, she went further than borrowing clothes. She collaborated with Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs of Cushnie et Ochs on a series of tour dresses.

“Oh Land [first] borrowed a dress from our Fall ‘11 collection to perform on the Craig Ferguson show,” Cushnie tells Style.com. “Then we met her for the first time after her show at the Bowery Ballroom in September—where she was wearing the dress again,” Ochs adds. From there, the three decided to coordinate on a series of tour pieces, based on the fringed dress the singer had taken such a liking to.

“The fringe moved so well onstage while she was performing,” Cushnie explains. “It’s a total rock star dress and she made it come to life, so we made four additional dresses all with fringe.” “We just wanted to make sure she would have fun performing in it,” Ochs says. New Yorkers can verify that particular detail when Oh Land and her dresses return to New York stages on December 11.

Recessionista First Blood

Posted by admin

I don’t give a flip about vampires, but I’m suddenly being very influenced by anything Twilight and True Blood-related. This is very chic and bronze - which I can’t shut up about. It’s wicked fierce and basically unisexy, no? Purchase info: Buy it here.

There’s something oddly attractive, FABULOUS and dangerous about this eagle claw necklace, which was seen last night on True Blood. It’s by Pamela Love and available at the HBO Shop for $60! Not since the iconic flower and nameplate necklace from Sex and the City have I wanted to pick up the phone and order something connected to a TV show (well, maybe a ShamWow), but I think I want this.
